Getsemaní. The last local households descendants of traditional craftsmen in this historic neighborhood of Cartagena (Colombia), resist the gentrification process driven by the tourism industry. Appreciation of land, taxes increase and higher costs of public utilities have forced most of the traditional families to sell their houses. Hotels, hostals and restaurants have settled into the neighborhood and only three streets remain occupied by Getsemanicenses. These photos talk about them and are part of an ongoing project. Cartagena, Colombia (2015-2016)
